Viktoriia Grivina is the newly elected board member

We are delighted to announce that Viktoriia Grivina will be joining the RUTA Board this year, taking over from Mark Edele. We would like to sincerely thank Mark for his dedication and valuable contributions to RUTA.

We are excited to welcome Viktoriia to the RUTA team as our newly elected Board Member!

Viktoriia Grivina is a Ukrainian cultural anthropologist, researcher, writer, and translator based in Kharkiv, Ukraine. She’s the author of an essay and short story collection Kharkiv, a War City (2025), and a co-author of Kharkiv is a Dream (2025). Her work focuses on urban transformations, decoloniality, wartime spaces, and environmental resilience in Ukraine.
